TELEPHONE CALLS – During consultations interruptions are kept to a minimum. Most queries are best dealt with by consultation. You can help us by noting the following:

RESULTS – Patients will always be contacted by the doctor or nurse with any significantly abnormal test results.
EMAILS – Clifton Beach Medical does not accept e-mails as a legal form of contact. Any e-mails received regarding medical symptoms or conditions will not be answered by a Doctor. Please phone the surgery for all appointments and any medical enquiries.
PRIVACY – This practice is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal health information. Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.
PATIENT FEEDBACK & COMPLAINTS – From time to time this practice will conduct surveys in the form of a questionnaire to obtain consumer input into the running of the practice. These surveys are completely confidential and help us improve our services.
Any complaints you may have can be dealt with by speaking or writing to your Doctor or our Practice Manager. However, if you wish for a complaint to be dealt with by an outside body you may contact the Health Rights Commission by phoning 1800 077 308.
HOME VISITS – If patients are too sick to come to the surgery, we do visit patients on an urgent basis in the northern beaches area. It is important to remember that house calls are time consuming and often you may be calling the Doctors away from a busy surgery full of sick patients to attend to you at home. The Doctors also visit private patients in hospital and nursing homes.
RECALL SYSTEM – Our practice is committed to preventive care. We may issue you with a reminder notice or phone call from time to time, to remind you of follow up appointments and preventive health services appropriate to your care.

All equipment used for surgery is ultrasonically cleaned and autoclaved.
